On Monday, March 27, 2006, the Commonwealth Workplace Relations Amendment (Work Choices) Act 2005 began its work and amended the people covered by the Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission awards. This Commonwealth coverage continued with the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) and the awarding of modern awards.
